What’s the deal in our country where every time I turn on the TV or swipe left on my phone I see and read about the great division and hatred in our country? You see, this problem is not a new problem. The truth is that the real problem is not being exposed, the truth of American division.
The truth is God created the heavens and the earth. He also made man in His own image, and desired to have a relationship with him. Although, he didn’t force man to have a relationship with Him, He gave man a choice. Man chose to do opposite of what God told him.
The God who spoke light into the world. The God who made the waters and grass and trees. The God who made every animal. The God who so carefully formed man and breathed life into him. The God who has always been and always will be. A God so wise that there is no god beside Him.
You see, our world has not changed. People are still fighting to have their own way. There is one truth! God loved mankind so much that even though man chose his own way instead of listening to a perfect God, God gave the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. John 3:16 says,
Jesus, God’s perfect Son, came and loved everyone. He showed that even the woman of Samaria who was a different race than the Jewish people could know God’s love. Jesus’s own people slaughtered Him and put Him on a cross. Some did not want to accept the truth that He gave.
America was founded as a nation that believes God created the heavens and made us. We believe as a nation that Jesus is the Christ. America is a Christian nation. Why have we been silenced? Yes, America is a Christian nation, but we are a sovereign nation who gave its’ people their own choice and freedom.
I will not be silent! The attack on the Jewish people in Pittsburgh is absolutely evil, and is not what America stands for. Acts like these continue to wreak American division!
President Trump is not the one to blame for this evil. The corrupt human heart is what needs to be dealt with. We have a sin nature that needed to be redeemed and that’s why Jesus had to die.
That’s like saying, “I love everyone so much that I am not going to lock my doors at night because I believe everyone truly has a good heart. So even though I have a house full of children I believe the people outside of my house wish me the best and will truly do me no harm. I am going to keep my doors unlocked to show that I am a loving person.” If I lock my doors at night to protect my family, the liberals make it sound like I am saying, “I am a person of hate and am discriminating because I want to keep what is mine safe.”
Can we all just admit that we have all been a part of the problem of American division? Let us search our hearts. Have we even sought the all-wise God in behalf of our nation? Let’s do so! Jesus said in John 6:37b.,
Honestly, the Lord can help us solve all of our problems, but He is usually the last person we turn to. We have kicked Him out of our schools and out of our courthouses. Why?
A God of love that keeps extending His hand to redeem His people. Yet, we continue pushing Him away because we think we have all the answers. We cannot solve the issue of American division on our own.
The truth is, the hate in our country will worsen until we identify the true problem, the human heart. American division will not change until we identify this problem!
When America chose their own way and brought slaves into this country, that was evil. When America has allowed abortions to continue, that is evil.
We cannot control others, but we must have a revival in our own hearts. We must have a seriousness about us to share the truth to fellow Americans.
