Hold the Line is a term I want to embrace for each Conservative.
As our founding fathers began to shape our great nation, there were ideas and dreams that each one had for the future of America. Holding the Line for our founding fathers was an idea of a land that was for the people; a people of freedom, a place where people could pursue their dreams, and a land where men and women could raise their families and worship God as they wished. They envisioned a land where tyranny was not the ruler, but a people able to govern themselves through representation.
George Washington said, “If freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.”
Thomas Jefferson said “It [is] ridiculous to suppose that a man had less rights in himself than…his neighbors …This would be slavery, and not that liberty…for the preservation of which our government has been charged.”
Benjamin Franklin said “Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God”
Our founding fathers held the line and fought for the liberty and pursuit of happiness.
As we fast forward to 2022, if our founding fathers could come out of their graves, they would be appalled at the direction of our government and the people who are doing everything in their power to destroy the very foundations from which this nation was built. We need men and women who will stand and “Hold the Line;” who will say no more. We need men and women who will “Hold the Line” when it comes to protecting the rights of the unborn. We need men and women who will “Hold the Line” when it comes to the second amendment.
The Left is doing all they can to destroy our rights to bear arms as well as taking away the rights of the unborn. We need men and women who will “Hold the Line” when it comes to taxes. It is a crying shame and disgrace the amount of taxes we must pay to the government. Once we pay our taxes, seeing where the government spends it shows their disregard for the taxpayer.
On every single level of government, we need men and women who will stand and “Hold the Line”.
We need people in our courthouses, city halls, churches, households, capitols and DC who will say enough is enough. The Republican party has nothing left to compromise. Many of our leaders have been selling out our party for decades, and it’s time we say, “NO MORE!”
My question to you is this, “WILL YOU STAND AND “’HOLD THE LINE’”?
Yes, it comes with much prayer and sacrifice, but there is also great benefit. The benefit of holding the line is that we are able to get back to the founding principles that have been established and give our children a nation that we can be proud of.
What does it mean to “Hold the Line”?
- Pray daily for our nation.
- Stay engaged in the policy decision process.
- Keep others updated on what’s going on.
- Give to candidates and organizations to further the Conservative cause.
- Attend events so that you can stay updated, and meet other Conservatives who live close by.
- Knock on doors for strong Conservative candidates to help spread their message.
- Run for office. 😊
- Write letters to your elected officials.
- Read good Conservative books and watch, listen, and subscribe to news from Conservative news networks.
- Teach your family the Constitution.
